This 1,000,000 sf facility consisted of the phased demolition and reconstruction of Kaiser’s Los Angeles Medical Center. The delivery of the project required the execution of 16 separate bid packages to rebuild the existing primary care medical center campus with minimal disruptions to ongoing healthcare operations. The rebuild project included 460 new beds with complete operating rooms, emergency department, radiology, OB/GYNand cafeteria facilities supported by a new central plant service building.
As the General Contractor on this project, TEC’s responsibilities included the following:

Construct medical office building and other smaller buildings
TEC also had the responsibility of maintaining hospital operations simultaneously during the construction phase of this project.
