The Metro Red Line is a 23-mile subway that forms the backbone of the Metro Rail System in Southern California. The Metro Red Line consisted of three separate projects. Segment 1 extends 4.4 miles under downtown Los Angeles from Union Station to MacArthur Park, just west of downtown. Segment 2 is 6.7 miles with eight stations, extending service along Wilshire Boulevard, Vermont Avenue, and Hollywood Boulevard. Segment 3 is subdivided into three separate sections, the North Hollywood Extension, the Eastside Extension, and the Mid City Extension.
TEC’s primary involvement was with Segments 2 and 3.
