The Exposition Light Rail line travels along the Exposition railroad right-of-way between Downtown Los Angeles and Culver City. It shares track and two stations (7th Street/Metro Center and Pico) with the Metro Blue Line, as it leaves Downtown L.A. It then travels along the Exposition right-of-way to the current terminus at Washington/National Avenues.
Nine new stations will be constructed along the Exposition route. In addition to the station at Washington/National, the new stations will be located at Flower and 23rd Street and Jefferson, and at Exposition Boulevard and Trousdale, Vermont, Western, Crenshaw, La Brea, and La Cienega.
The Exposition Light Rail line is approximately 8.5-miles long and parallels the heavily congested I-10 freeway. It opened in summer 2009. Estimated travel time from Downtown L.A. to Culver City is less than 30 minutes.
